The Stuart SSM5 microtitre shaker provides high speed vibrational mixing action - ideal for microtitre plates. Digital selection of mixing speed varying from 250 to 1,200 rpm. Built-in digital timer or continuous operation.

Designed for use with microtitre plates and microcentrifuge tubes. The aluminum tray is fitted with a specially designed mat that securely holds in place up to four wellplates. High speed combined with a tiny orbit creates the vibrational shaking action required for mixing the very small volumes contained in the wells or in microcentrifuge tubes.

For samples that need to be mixed under controlled temperature / humidity conditions, the SSM5 footprint is ideal for placement inside incubator including a CO2 incubator. Speed is variable from 250 to 1,200 rpm and is easily set via the digital display in 50 rpm increments.

Shaking times can be set from 1 to 1999 minutes on the built in digital timer. The unit can also be set for continuous operation. The operational temperature ranges from +4°C to +40°C with the maximum permissable humidity reaching 80%. Maximum load is 2.2lbs and the orbit diameter is 1.5mm. 120V, 60Hz.

Optional tube holders are also available for mixing microcentrifuge tubes (sold separately), for either .5 ml or 1.5 ml tubes. The tube holders fit securely onto the platform turning the unit into an effective microtube mixer.
