The 500 ml dosed and undosed Sterilin® water sampling bottles are manufactured from unbreakable clear non-toxic PETG. The octogonal design facilitates ease of handling, storage and transport, and heavy wall construction increases strength and stability. A blue HDPE cap is standard on the dosed product while a white HDPE cap comes with the undosed product, providing easy identification. Guaranteed sterile by gamma irradiation. A lot number on each bottle allows for complete traceability and a tamper evident cap ensures sample integrity. A 12 month expiry date is printed clearly on each dosed bottle. Dosed bottles are treated with Sodium Thiosulphate (NaS2O4), a colorless, crystalline compound which serves to neutralise free and residual chlorine and is suitable for both low and highly chlorinated water sources, such as swimming pool water. Undosed bottles do not include NaS2O4 dosing, and could be preferable in scenerios where chlorination is not an issue. Graduations in ml are permanently molded into bottles for accurate measurements.
