These natural polystyrene culture tubes are disposable, non sterile, and have a 5 ml volume capacity. They could be used for many routine laboratory applications like RIA, coagulation, or bacteriology. Featuring 2-position snap caps, these tubes can be used for aerobic microbiological procedures when the caps are in the loose position closed but unsealed. They can also be used for anaerobic work for cultures or storage when the caps are in the sealed position. To maintain consistent size and shape, these tubes are manufactured using virgin thermoplastics and a precision molding technique. They can withstand centrifuge speeds up to 1400g and the clear plastic ensures there will be no glass activation during testing. These tubes can accept aqueous solutions, mild bases, and weak acids, but not organic solvents, aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbons. No mold release agents are used with these tubes that could cause errors or interfere with RIA tests. Case packs of 1,000 tubes come in 4 bags of 250 each.
