These 500 ml clear glass nephelo culture flasks allow for growth and turbidity reading at selected intervals without sampling. Simply tilt the nephelo culture flask to allow filling of the sidearm and insert sidearm into a colorimeter or spectrophotometer. The side tubes of the glass flasks are scratch and striation free. Designed to operate on a platform shaker, these glass flasks hold approximately 350 mL of liquid to the base of the sidearm. Contents of the flask cannot enter the sidearm when on the shaker. The glass nephelo culture flasks have shatter-resistant lips which accommodate cotton plugs or stoppers. These flasks are manufactured from low extractable clear borosilicate glass that conforms to USP Type I and ASTM E-438 Type I, Class A requirements and are autoclavable.
