Clear glass BOD bottles come with a pennyhead glass stopper and are manufactured from Type 1 borosilicate glass. They have a specially designed shoulder radius that sweeps all air from inside the BOD bottle during filling. The pennyhead style glass stoppers have a tapered bottom that also prevents air entrapment. Additionally, the BOD bottle's flared mouth helps to form a water seal around the stopper to prevent air from being drawn into the bottle during incubation. The stopper joint is compatible with the probes of the leading meters for BOD and dissolved oxygen. These glass BOD bottles are available in 60 ml and 300 ml sizes. Large, permanently screened-on white writing areas are included on the bottle for convenient sample identification.
