The Omnispense Plus features full microprocessor control of a wide range of dispensing parameters. A full featured membrane keypad allows direct user entry of volume, tubing size, automatic delay interval, ramp time, pump direction and speed, dose count and more. The large, bright, self prompting LCD screen and one-step volume calibration ensures quick setup and ease of operation. The pump is self-priming, and is compatible with a wide variety of tubing sizes and materials.

An adjustable ramp feature allows the pump to come up to speed gradually and helps prevent foaming and splashing when dispensing into dishes or small vials. For added versatility, the user can select between automatic and manual modes. When operated in automatic mode, an adjustable delay can be set from 0.5 to 25.5 seconds between doses to accomodate user dexterity and work load. When operated in the manual mode, the dispenser can be activated by depressing either the front panel mounted key start, the hand set mounted key, or the optional footswitch, which is included in the Omnispense Plus package.

Unlike conventional peristaltic pumps which rely on a "trail and error" method of volume calibration, the Omnispense Plus allows direct user entry of volume in ml. Up to 100 pre-selected set-ups can be stored in memory and quickly retrieved for later use. Selections stored in memory are preserved even after powering the unit down. Pump speed is variable from 41 to 417 RPM, which facilitates usage where flow rate control is critical. A flexible tubing support stand is included to facilitate hands free operation.

The Omnispense Plus can be used in both laboratory and industrial settings for various dispensing and aspirating operations. The pump is perfectly suited for accurately dispensing liquids ranging in viscosity from aqueous solutions to medium syrups. The liquids being dispensed remain contained within the tubing to avoid contamination. The pump can be triggered to run remotely either by the optional footswitch (included), or by an industrial Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) using either a dry contact relay or isolated open collector transistor output. The Omnispense Plus is capable of sending End of Dispense (EOD) feedback signal to a controller for remote automated operation.
