These 96 well microtitration plates are available in 3 well sizes, sterile or non-sterile, and can be used for serology work, microbiology screening, EIA and absorbance assays, as well as sample storage and transport. They are manufactured from virgin polystyrene which provides excellent optical clarity, and there is no surface treatment thus providing a medium binding surface. Plates are compatible with automated plate readers and washers, and have orientation corners and alpha numerical labeling to ensure easy sample identification. Frosted write-on areas are on end wall of plate for clear identification. Hanging wall design ensures even temperature distribution around each well. Suitable for use at wavelengths of 340 nm. CE marked in accordance with European Directive 98/79/EC.

539224-08 is non-sterile and has a white flat bottom. It is ideal for bioluminescence studies where the white pigment aids reflectivity and sensitivity and prevents well to well cross-talk. It also has no surface treatment therefore providing a medium binding surface. The chimney well design helps to reduce contamination. 539224-09 is non-sterile with a black flat bottom and is ideal for flourescence work where the black pigment prevents 'cross-talk' between the walls. The low background flourescence minimizes light scattering. It also has no surface treatment which provides a medium binding surface, and the chimney well design helps to reduce contamination.

Condensation rings on the lid, together with raised well rims on the base help minimize the risk of contamination from surrounding wells. Cross contamination is minimized by each well having a rim, and when lids are used, orientation corners and condensation rings further guarantee security. A rim around the periphery plate also assists when the plate requires sealing with film. Deep lids reduce the common problem of uneven evaporation from the wells. Single use 96 well microtitration plates are sold without lids, which may be purchased seperately. To purchase lids, choose stock # 539224-07.
