Manufacture:
- All disposable Petri dishes are manufactured in accordance with the Quality System Standard ISO 9002
- Unless specified otherwise, all Petri dishes are manufactured under aseptic conditions
- The following procedures exist to assure final sterility of the product:
- Where applicable, Petri dishes are manufactured to BS611 Part II: 1991 BS611 testing for:
- • Rigidity - lid and base
- • Resistance to thermal distortion
- • Resistance to fracture - lid and base
- • Stability in stacking
- • Dimensional checks
- Verification of product clean room conditions in accordance with British Standard 5295. "Environmental Cleanliness in enclosed spaces."
- Verification of the integrity of the packaging bags
- Sterility testing of the final product on a statistical basis, using British Standard 6000/1 sampling plans.One sleeve (20 dishes) of product is taken from each machine daily. It is tested using Nutrient agar incubated at 30/32°C for 5 days in accordance with Department of Health recommendations. Daily inspection of the dishes takes place
