Cryules round bottom polypropyelene cryogenic vials are designed for simple identification of cell cultures and effortless handling. With plastic Cryules, both the closures and tubes are manufactured of medical-grade polypropylene with the same coefficient of expansion, which further enhances the leakproof qualities of these vials at changing temperatures. All Cryules are designed to withstand temperatures between 196°C and 121°C. All plastic Cryules are autoclavable. When autoclaving plastic Cryules, the cap must be loosened or removed to allow pressure equalization upon cooling; this will prevent wall collapse. These Cryule vials are externally threaded -- the cap attaches to the outside of the vial, which means you get maximum vial capacity. This feature also protects the lip of the vial, as well as your hands, from contamination. Available in a 2 ml size, with or without a white marking area for ease of sample identification.
WARNING: Do not use cryogenic containers for storage directly into the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen; use in gas phase only. Always use appropriate safety equipment to protect personnel when removing Cryules from storage in cryogenic gases.
