Glass Beakers

Glass BeakersFor laboratories that require glass, SKS Science sells starter packs and individual beakers. All glass beakers include a matte writing area that is compatible with ordinary pencils and erasable for reuse. These glass beakers are durable enough to use with hotplates, and highly resistant to chemical leaching and thermal shock. Starter packs include a: 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 600 ml, and 1,000 ml. Composed of 33 expansion low extractable borosilicate glass, these glass beakers are compliant with USP Type I ASTM E4438 and Type I Class A requirements. A pour spout and beaded rim are included for better control and drip prevention.

Glass Beakers Individual glass beakers are available in the following options to best suit your needs. Low form glass beakers from 10 ml up to 4,000 ml capacities include slightly flared, beaded tops with spouts for controlled pouring. They also feature white easy-to-read graduations that will not degrade after cleaning, printed on the glass beakers to assist in measurement accuracy. Case packs are available from 10 ml to 1,500 ml sizes, depending on the quantity you need. These glass beakers are composed of 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass, conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements for overall compliance in many laboratories.

SKS Science offers low form heavy duty glass beakers in sizes from 250 ml up to 4,000 ml. These beakers are similar to low form glass beakers, but with a slightly stronger composition. Heavy duty glass beakers are able to withstand daily use in more fast paced and rougher laboratory environments longer than standard beakers. The thick walls form stronger barriers, and have a reduced chance of shattering if dropped. These heavy duty glass beakers are also composed of 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass, meeting USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements.

Tall form glass beakers are available in capacities ranging from 100 ml up to 1,000 ml and offer the same durable construction as the previous low form glass beakers, but in a taller, more slender style. The white permanent graduated marks have a double capacity scale for additional accuracy. These tall form glass beakers are composed of 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass which meets USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements, and ASTM Specification E960, Type III requirements.

Polypropylene Plastic Beakers

Plastic beakers composed of polypropylene are available for purchase in starter kits, sets, and individual sizes. Polypropylene can be used for a variety of liquids thanks to its barriers against moisture and resistances to acid, grease, oils, aldehyde, bases, esters, ethers, and ketone compounds.

Polypropylene Plastic Beakers SKS Science has several options for purchasing beakers in sets with a variety of sizes. A basic and dependable option is the Griffin style polypropylene plastic beaker starter kit, which includes one of each 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, and 1,000 ml beaker. Each beaker includes molded graduations in millimeters, a no-drip pour spout, and is autoclavable. This set of four have built-in features to assist with usage and storage. Each plastic beaker is autoclavable, shatter resistant, includes permanent blue graduations for easy reading, vertical lips around the top and a pour spout to prevent spillage, and are easily stackable for storage in various laboratory locations.

In a set of three, the reusable polypropylene square ratio beakers come with a 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1,000 ml size beaker with an economical and user friendly design. SKS Science offers two options for combo kits containing sets of 5 beakers. Based on your needs, choose a combo kit of polypropylene square ratio beakers in either a set including 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1,000 ml beakers, or a set including 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 600 ml, and 1,000 ml beakers.

Polypropylene Plastic Beakers To assist with pouring, try the low form or tall form polypropylene beakers with molded handles for a secure grip and a controlled pour. These beakers are autoclavable and translucent, providing clear readings with permanent graduations on each beaker.

Also consider polypropylene beakers with blue printed measurements and design features that allow for easy readability and use. Available in 500 ml and 1,000 ml sizes, these beakers have blue graduations printed on both sides for left and right-handed users. The beaker's thumb grip handle is ergonomic for comfortable one handed use. In larger sizes, the 50 ml and 3,000 ml autoclavable polypropylene beakers include ergonomic handles closed at both ends to prevent liquids from entering the handle area. To reduce spillage, the bases have a non-slide, anti-suction finish, steadying the beakers while filling.

Polypropylene Plastic Beakers Disposable polypropylene beakers range from 50 ml up to 1,000 ml capacities with molded graduations and spout lips that allow users to pour from any side. These beakers are autoclavable, highly durable, and disposable. For a multitude of laboratory applications, try these versatile polypropylene beakers, sold in 50 ml to 5,000 ml sizes. They feature heavy walls for sturdiness while mixing and filling. These beakers are autoclavable with molded graduations that will not degrade after multiple cleanings. The last option SKS Science has to offer are autoclavable polypropylene beakers in 10 ml to 2,000 ml sizes with blue graduations and vertical lips with a pouring spout. For convenience, these beakers are stackable, making for easy storage.

PMP Plastic Beakers

PMP (Polymethylpentene) is a crystal clear plastic that provides moisture barriers and is resistant to acids, grease, oils, esters, bases, aldehyde, and alcohols for use with a range of compounds. This plastic is autoclavable and can be sterilized by gas, dry heat, and chemical disinfectant. It is also able to withstand temperature exteremes between 356° F/180° C to -32° F/-36° C.

PMP Plastic Beakers Whether you are just starting out or looking to restock laboratory supplies, the PMP starter kit is a great choice. Each starter kit includes one 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1,000 ml size beaker with molded graduations in millimeter increments. These beakers include pouring spouts for controlled use and reduced spilling. In sizes from 50 ml up to 2,000 ml, clear PMP beakers have a glass-like appearance for improved visibility while measuring. A flared top with a pouring spout assists to reduce spills, while the graduated millimeter measurements are molded onto the side for accurate reading.

A slightly different style is available in sizes from 25 ml to 2,000 ml with red graduations. The pouring spout is molded into the lip to reduce spillage and allow for stacking when not in use. Both of these beaker styles are autoclavable and are not suggested to be used with hotplates.

PTFE & HDPE Plastic Beakers

PTFE & HDPE Plastic BeakersPTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a plastic compound that is resistant to virtually all chemical compositions and has functional temperatures from 500° F/260° C to -328° F/-200° C. Available in a range of sizes from 1 ml to 5,000 ml, PTFE beakers are an opaque white color, tapered with a slim pouring spout. These beakers feature a smooth surface inside and out for effortless cleaning between uses. SKS Science offers PTFE watch glass clovers for the PTFE beakers, molded from virgin PTFE with smooth surfaces for easy cleaning. The PTFE watch glass covers are available in compatible sizes to match each PTFE beaker to reduce contamination. PTFE heatable beakers in 100ml, 250 ml, and 400 ml sizes are safe to use with heating elements without distortion up to 270°C. The composition offers use with caustic compounds in a variety of applications long term. The tapered style and added lip minimize spillage, which is imperative when dealing with heated caustic liquids.
