Stuart SMP10 Melting Point Apparatus

This Stuart lab apparatus forgoes the traditional mercury thermometer for accurate and easy to use digital temperature sensing and display. Up to two samples in glass capillary tubes can be tested simultaneously and viewed through a detachable lens with an illuminating, built-in LED bulb. The heating block is positioned behind a protective screen and is open on both ends for removing any broken glass capillary tubes. This chemistry lab apparatus can reach a maximum temperature of 300° C and its innovative design allows for quick heating and cooling. Extendable feet enable the user to adjust the height of the digital melting point apparatus or manage the viewing angle and can be folded when not in use. Instructions for the laboratory apparatus are printed in multiple languages on the front for ease of use.

Stuart SMP11 Melting Point Apparatus

The Stuart SMP11 melting point apparatus features an economical price that makes it ideal for education lab use. It measures the melting point of chemicals from ambient to 250° C using a safe, low-toxic spirit thermometer that is located horizontally to the heating block for simultaneous viewing of both samples and temperature. Up to three samples in glass capillary tubes can be tested at once. The heating rate can be manually adjusted between 20° C/min for rapid heating and 1° C/min to obtain an accurate melting point range. The melting point process can be viewed through an illuminated magnifying lens, which can be detached for cleaning. Like the Stuart SMP10 model, instructions are printed on the front of the lab apparatus, making it easy for students to use.

Stuart SMP3 Melting Point Apparatus

This lab apparatus features programmable heating rates between 0.5° C/min and 10° C/min in 0.1° C/min increments, with a maximum temperature of 360° C. A Pt100 sensor allows for responsive temperature measurement and control. Auto cooling starts after measurement is completed and occurs via an internal air pump. Similar to the SMP11 chemistry lab apparatus, the heating block can accommodate up to three samples in glass capillary tubes. The melting point process can be viewed through an LED illuminated magnifying lens and up to eight melting point temperatures can be recorded for each sample. Multiple language options for this melting point apparatus are also available via the digital display.
