Round bottom polypropylene cryogenic lab vials are designed for simple identification of cell cultures and effortless handling with the options of marking or no marking area. Both the closures and plastic lab vials are manufactured from medical-grade polypropylene with the same coefficient of expansion, which further enhances the leakproof qualities of these lab vials during temperature changes. These plastic lab vials are designed to withstand temperatures between 196° C and 121° C and can be autoclaved. When autoclaving, the cap must be loosened or removed to allow pressure equalization upon cooling, which will prevent the wall from collapsing. In this style of round bottom cryogenic lab vials are externally threaded; the cap attaches to the outside of the lab vials, allowing the maximum vial capacity. This feature also protects the lip of the lab vial, as well as your hands, from contamination. WARNING: Do not use cryogenic containers for storage directly into the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen; use in gas phase only.
